2013 Excellence in Religion Award Recipient, Dr. Everald Lewis

Dr. Everald Lewis is a dedicated and committed ordained minister who has been teaching the word of God on three continents for more than 30 years. He is founder and president of Rhema Studies of Theology Association (RSOTA) for Canada and India. He is also an author, speaker and educator.

Dr. Lewis has written several books, including “Becoming a True Christian,” “Understanding the Will of God,” “The General Epistle,” “Effective Interpersonal Communication and Skills” and “The Tabernacle,”among others.

A dynamic speaker, Dr. Lewis appears frequently at conferences and seminars. He has addressed audiences in several countries, including the United States, England, India, Trinidad, Dominica and Jamaica.

Dr.. Lewis has focused on his own education throughout his career. He received a bachelor of theology degree in 1985; a master of theological studies in 1988; and, in 1990, a doctor of ministry, all from Canada Christian College and School of Graduate Studies. In 2007, he earned his doctor of pastoral counselling, with honours, from the Evangelical Order of Certified Pastoral Counselors of America.

Dr. Lewis has worked in several capacities as an educator throughout his ministerial career. He has taught at the Toronto School of Ministry and the Toronto Gospel Lighthouse Bible School. He was also a professor at the Canadian Christian College and School of Graduate Studies.

In 2005, Dr. Lewis assumed the senior pastor position at the Faith and Power International Ministries in Toronto and, in 2010, he established Rhema Studies of Theology Association Training Centre in Chennai, India. That year he became general overseer of both Bramalea Gospel Assemble in Brampton, Ont., and Tabernacle of God Worship Ministries, in London, Ont.
